As her symptoms worsened, she was admitted to Wesley Hospital in Wichita on June 4, where doctors discovered a large hematoma in her lower right leg. The condition required emergency medical attention and surgery to remove blood clots and treat the damaged tissue.
Health Condition Became Critical
During her hospitalization, Miller’s medical condition became increasingly complicated. Her family said she was already living with end-stage liver disease, making treatment significantly more difficult.
Doctors reportedly administered multiple blood transfusions, plasma, and platelets throughout her treatment. She later developed serious bacterial infections, including a gram-negative infection and a staph infection, which caused additional tissue damage and required further surgical procedures.
